The hunt is on for staff ahead of the opening of a celebrity chef’s new Suffolk restaurant, pub and hotel this summer.
Last month, SuffolkNews reported that Marco Pierre White’s company will be transforming The Brook Hotel in Orwell Road, Felixstowe, into Steakhouse Bar & Grill and a pub called The Queen’s Head.
Following an investment of more than £750,000, it will also see the building – which is currently a Best Western venue – rebranded to Hotel Coco.
Muralee Govindasamy, who has owned the hotel since 2002, said management were excited to begin the recruitment process.

About 20 jobs are up for grabs, including a sous chef, a commis chef, bar staff, kitchen helpers and restaurant workers.
“The arrival of a Marco Pierre White restaurant and pub in Felixstowe is great news for the area and we’re delighted to announce that the search is on for additional staff members to join the team,” Muralee said.
“We’re expecting a lot of interest from those keen to gain experience of working in an environment created by Britain’s greatest ever chef.
“The standard required will be very high and those who think they’ve got what it takes have to be totally dedicated, professional and will want to strive to be the best in all they do.
“There is a mix of roles that will create the personality of the restaurant and we are looking for enthusiastic, determined and dedicated staff with an excellent work ethic to complement the existing staff.”
An open recruitment day will take place between noon and 7pm on April 11.
Job hunters have been invited to pop along with their CV and have a chat with the team.
Muralee said offering jobs was great news in the current climate and would offer the chance for people to see what roles are on offer.
“We’re hugely excited and the refurbishment of the hotel and current restaurant and pub will completely capture Marco’s ethos of creating a venue where friends and family can come to enjoy drinks and food in relaxed, comfortable and unpretentious setting,” Muralee added.
